Deep color with a light, dark red shimmer. The aroma is full of dark berries, vegetables, tobacco and sweet licorice. The taste is elegant with a rich sweet fruit that is balanced by the fine acidity. The grapes are fermented at 24-28 degrees and once the must has reached a satisfactory grape sweetness, the fermentation is stopped by adding 77% grape spirit in a ratio of 1-5. The must is then stored in used oak barrels for 4-6 years before the wine is bottled and released for sale. Suitable for: Cheeses and mild desserts.
